Day 01
Marrakech – High Atlas Mountains – Ouarzazate – Zagora
Early departure toward the High Atlas, crossing the Tizi n'Tichka mountain pass at 2,260 meters above sea level and stopping at the Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, a filming location for movies such as Gladiator and Prince of Persia. We continue south to Ouarzazate, nicknamed "the Hollywood of Morocco," for a lunch stop and a visit to the Taourirt Kasbah. From there we head over the Tizi-n-Tinifift pass to Agdz, driving alongside the palm-filled Draa Valley with stops at panoramic viewpoints over the palm groves. On arrival in Zagora, camels are waiting to take you into the dunes for a night under a nomadic tent.

Day 02
Zagora – Draa Valley – Ouarzazate – Marrakech
After breakfast, we drive back through the palm-lined Draa river valley, passing the Jewish quarter in Amezrou and its palm groves, then continue toward the edge of the Sahara at Mhamid. Along the way we stop in Tamegroute, a 16th century Saadian-era town, to visit an old Koranic library and an underground kasbah. Lunch is a desert picnic before heading to Erg Chegaga, arriving in time to ride camels into the dunes before sunset. Dinner and the night are spent under a nomad tent or beneath the stars among the dunes, before the return drive to Marrakech.
